Jakarta – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Ministry of Law celebrated its 26th anniversary by organizing a series of social and community service activities, ranging from teaching school students to distributing disaster relief assistance.
Chair of DWP Ministry of Law, Ully Nico Afinta, said the organization successfully raised and distributed humanitarian aid for disaster victims in Sumatra.
“Through the DWP Ministry of Law Cares program, ‘Solidarity for Sumatra,’ we carried out social assistance activities for communities affected by disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. In total, we have distributed assistance worth IDR 107 million,” Ully said during the 26th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of Dharma Wanita Persatuan at Graha Pengayoman on Wednesday (December 10, 2025).
She added that amid the ongoing natural disasters affecting several regions in Indonesia—particularly Sumatra—the spirit of sharing and solidarity within DWP is expected to bring meaningful benefits to those in need.
Ully explained that this year’s anniversary theme is “DWP Teaches: Educating with Heart, Inspiring the Nation.” The theme reflects the role of DWP members—whether as homemakers, career women, or spouses—as key pillars of education within the family, especially in nurturing children as the nation’s future assets.
“We have carried out the DWP Teaches program across various regions in Indonesia, implemented by regional DWP in their respective areas,” she said.
This year’s DWP Teaches activities coincided with the inauguration of Intellectual Property (IP) Teachers by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. As a result, several regions have begun introducing basic concepts of trademarks, copyrighted works, and graphic design to school students.
In addition to donations and educational programs, the anniversary celebration also featured mammography health screenings at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital in Jakarta for 50 members of the central and Jakarta regional DWP chapters. Other activities included an MSME bazaar and a talk show.
“We also organized an MSME bazaar featuring products from DWP members at Graha Pengayoman and held a hybrid talk show on digital transformation in household and MSME financial management for all DWP members,” Ully added.
Dharma Wanita Persatuan is the largest women’s organization in Indonesia. Within the Ministry of Law alone, DWP membership nationwide totals approximately 6,000 members, consisting of 3,606 female civil servants and around 2,400 spouses of male civil servants.
