912 Join Ministry’s Homecoming Program, 22 Buses Depart for Java and Sumatra

 2026 03 12 Mudik Bersama 1

Jakarta – A total of 912 participants joined the 2026 Mudik Bersama (homecoming) program organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections; the Ministry of Law; and the Ministry of Human Rights. Twenty-two buses were deployed to transport participants to destinations across Java and Sumatra.

The Vice Minister of Law, Eddy Hiariej, advised participants to always maintain their health, throughout the journey, upon arrival in their hometowns, and when returning after the Eid al-Fitr holiday. He also expressed his appreciation to all parties participating in the program.

“Thank you to all partners who contributed to this program. Please take care of your health so we can arrive safely and return to work safely as well,” he said during the send-off ceremony at the Ministry of Law on Thursday (March 12, 2026).

Head of Bureau for General Affairs, Risman Somantri, said the program reflects the ministry’s commitment to employee welfare. He explained that beyond simply providing safe and comfortable travel facilities, the program specifically aims to reduce the reliance on two-wheeled vehicles during the holiday travel period to ensure the safety of the participants throughout their journey.

“This program is designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and well-organized journey for employees and their families,” he said.

Safety was a top priority, with all buses undergoing strict roadworthiness checks, including inspections of brakes, tires, lights, and documentation. Drivers and crew were also medically screened, well-rested, and confirmed to be free from harmful substances.

Medical and security teams were on standby throughout the journey. Each bus was equipped with first-aid kits and 24-hour emergency contacts. Participants were also provided with meals, snacks for breaking the fast, vitamins, and basic medicines.

The 22 buses served multiple routes: Jakarta–Palembang (1), Jakarta–Lampung (1), Jakarta–Padang (1), Jakarta–Yogyakarta (6), Jakarta–Semarang (4), and Jakarta–Surabaya (9).

The program was supported through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives by several partners, including Bank Negara Indonesia, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Mandiri, Telkom Indonesia, Jasa Marga, Taspen, and Mandiri Taspen.
